You always hear of these terror stories about horrible step parents and step siblings, I consider myself incredibly lucky.
Mary is fantastic and so are her kids Jessica and Mike. The extended family is great too. They were all very welcoming and embraced me right away. I didn't expect that and I was kinda surprised when it happened and even more surprised at how cohesive the family as a whole is with me. Mary and my dad took my nice Bri to Chicago and Mary was talking about how my dad was in heaven hanging out with Bri and how he'll be the best grandpa when Scott and I have a kid. Sooo cute, I actually teared up talking to her.
Don is the same way. Don (my mom's fiance) is just awesome. He's so good to my mom and he's incredibly caring and shows it. I'm glad my mom has him and I'm happy to have him in my life as well. His son Michael is a cool kid too. We hung out yesterday and played in the snow a little bit and watched a movie. Michael pulled out his favorites and I suggested two of them (we were torn between National Treasure 2 and The Parent Trap) I thought it was awesome when he picked The Parent Trap and then quoted the movie the whole time. It was super cute. I hope I get to see him play more hockey games too. I feel like I've been bad luck, he's lost every game I've been too :( But yeah, I wish Don had him more often because I like hanging out with him, he's a smart, funny, cool kiddo.
I'm watching Father of the Bride. Love this movie. Little secret...I'm wearing my wedding ring haha. I've been doing it a lot lately. I don't know why, I just get the urge to put it on and wear it around the house when Scott isn't here haha. I really can't wait to get married.
My journal is going to be friends only from now on. I'm getting really sick of the freaking Russian bots or whatever commenting on my public entries. It doesn't hurt anything but it's annoying as hell.
